A Story About Moving
From Good To Great
Alan flew into our hearts in January 2023, coinciding with our ten-year anniversary celebrations.
The concept for Alan came from the most unlikely of places: an insurance company in the UK. Because paid media on financial services is extremely expensive, this business needed another way to leverage paid media to their benefit. Enter the meerkats: clever (Eastern European) icons that they used in their advertising. Users began to search for meerkat insurance, e voila, high return on investment for paid media efforts.
Our co-founders took the lesson from this fable: that people remember a face, not a name, and with our savvy designers, developed a cute and memorable pug who becomes anything we need him to be: a multilingual marketer, digital analyst, award-winner or unicorn. Alan can do it all.
Since introducing Alan, he’s taken on a life of his own and given Somebody Digital a distinctive visual identity. Often prospective and current clients comment on our use of Alan, and hey, who doesn’t love an adorable pug?
